Former TNA Champion Heading To NXT?
Former TNA Television Champion Gunner has caused a stir on social media with a recent tweet.
The 34-year-old ex-soldier left TNA in 2015 and returned to the independent circuit, supplementing his income with bodybuilding and acting gigs. If his latest tweet on Twitter is anything to go by, his next destination will be Florida and NXT.
He wrote: “Hard work pays off. I almost hung it up. I’m glad I didn’t. World……here I come. Time to TakeOver!”
At 6’2″ and 247 lbs, Gunner is a good fit for WWE. He was rumoured to be someone WWE was taking an interest in a month ago, with WrestlingInc.com reporting that pending the results of a physical he would soon turn up in NXT. Evidently the results were positive and Gunner will be the latest in a long line of ex-TNA stars (Samoa Joe, Eric Young, Bobby Roode, Roderick Strong, Austin Aries) to swap Universal Studios for Full Sail University.
